Mom Saw UK Nurse Lucy Letby “Hovering” Over Her Baby the Night Before Alleged Murder

• A mother said that she saw British nurse Lucy Letby “hovering” over her newborn daughter at the Countess of Chester Hospital’s neonatal unit hours before prosecutors say Letby killed the baby.
• Letby is accused of killing seven babies.
• The mother said before the Manchester Crown Court that she visited the newborn ward and saw Letby “sort of hanging over [her baby] but not doing anything.”

A lady saw British nurse Lucy Letby “hovering” over her newborn daughter at Countess of Chester Hospital’s neonatal unit hours before prosecutors think Letby killed the baby. Letby murdered seven babies.

The mother told Manchester Crown Court that Letby “sort of hovered over [her kid] but not doing anything” in the neonatal unit.
“She was taking notes on a clipboard and seemed to be gazing at a machine,” she added.

“She answered, ‘Yes, she’s OK,'” the mother added. She protected us from my expectations. She should leave me.

Earlier in the trial, prosecutors showed jurors Letby’s home-made Post-It notes that she was “evil” and “killed them on purpose.”

Some of Letby’s notes claimed she’s a “terrible nasty person” who isn’t “good enough,” while others were “protestations of innocence,” according to prosecutor Nick Johnson. “I haven’t done anything wrong and they have no proof so why have I had to hide away?”

“Ladies and gentlemen, that in a nutshell is your responsibility in this case,” Johnson told the jury. “You must decide whether she committed these terrible actions after hearing all the evidence.”

Letby has pleaded not guilty.
