Porsha Williams ties the knot with Simon Guobadia

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 41, and businessman Simon Guobadia, 57, got married, her spokesman confirms.

The couple reportedly tied the knot on November 25 at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta in accordance with native law and customs of Nigeria. According to the source, Porsha and Simon, who are both from Benin City in the Nigerian Edo State, hired traditional Benin singers and dancers to perform during the ceremony.

For the reception, Porsha told the publication she wanted guests to “feel like they have taken a flight and landed in Benin.”

“The whole room should be transformed with beautiful colors of browns and rose golds and tans and creams. It should be really, really beautiful and give you that authentic African feel,” she shared, later adding, “The other thing I wanted was trees in the room. I want it to feel like an inside/outside space, but luxurious.”

The Bravolebrity reportedly wore three different ensembles on her big day, beginning with a red Lakimmy gown and a headpiece made of Benin coral beads before changing into blue and gold Tabik gowns.

Porsha revealed to the publication that she intends to make her wedding weekend a “true fashion extravaganza” with seven outfit changes. The wedding will be the first of three ceremonies the couple has planned to celebrate their love.

Porsha had previously hinted that she wanted to have a big wedding. “I am marrying an amazing Nigerian man, honey. It is not going to be intimate,” she told Bravo in April. “It is going to be huge probably. It’s gonna be big, but I want it to have an intimate feel.”

Falynn Guobadia, a former co-star of Porsha’s, and Simon were previously married. The former couple began dating in April 2021, the same month they separated after getting married in June 2019.
