Holker’s last social media post was two days before Boss died. It was a video of the two of them dancing to “December Back 2 June” by Alicia Keys. Later, stars like Denise Richards, Ashley Graham, and Olivia Munn left heartfelt and supportive comments on the post.
The day before, both of the So You Think You Can Dance alumni paid tribute to each other on their anniversary.
On Dec. 10, she wrote, “I couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate this perfect, magical day!” “Saying YES to @sir twitch alot was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!! I’m so lucky and happy!! I love you, baby, and I’ll never take you or OUR love for granted. I LOVE YOU. Happy anniversary. Boss got married in 2013.”
When the news of Stephen’s death came out on December 14, Allison told PEOPLE, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to tell you that my husband Stephen has left us.”
She went on, “Stephen brought light into every room he entered. He cared most about his family, friends, and community. Leading with love and light was the most important thing to him. He was the strongest member of our family. He was also the best husband and father, and his fans looked up to him.”
“It would be an understatement to say that he left a legacy, and his positive effects will continue to be felt,” she said. “I’m sure there won’t be a single day when we don’t remember him. During this hard time for me and especially for our three children, we ask for privacy.”
Holker ended her speech with a message to her husband, Stephen: “Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”
Stephen’s mother, Connie Boss Alexander, Allison, and their three children, Zaia, 3, Maddox, 6, and Weslie, 14, are the only ones who still care about him.
