Indian star gets the “Mrs. World” title after 21 years

• Sargam Koushal from Jammu-Kashmir has won ‘Mrs World’ for India.
• The 32-year-old is a teacher, writer, model, and painter.
• She’s married to Aditya Manohar Sharma, an Indian Navy Lieutenant Commander.

Sargam Koushal, from Jammu-Kashmir, won “Mrs World” for India. This feat helped India reclaim the crown after 21 years.

India won in 2001 with Dr. Aditi Govitrikar, who also judged Miss India Inc 2022-23. Shaylyn Ford of the U.S. won last year’s title. Mrs Canada was second and Mrs Polynesia was first runner-up.

The 32-year-old candidate wore a pink split gown with elaborate embroidery and sequins for the final round.

“The long wait is over, it’s after 21 years we have the CROWN back!” the diva posted on Instagram.

Koushal said, “We’ve got the crown back after 21-22 years. I’m so excited. Love you India, love you world.”

Koushal is from Jammu’s Bahu Fort. In Vizag, she taught. Mrs. World 2022 is a teacher, writer, model, and painter. She’s married to Aditya Manohar Sharma, an Indian Navy Lieutenant Commander in Mumbai.

Soha Ali Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Mohammad Azharuddin, Masumi Mewawalla, and Aditi Govitrikar judged Mrs. India World 2022-23. She represented India internationally.

‘Mrs World’ is the first beauty competition for married women, created in 1984. Miss Woman of the World was renamed Mrs World in 1988.
