Jenna Ortega Debuts Edgy New Hairstyle

Wednesday marked the introduction of Jenna Ortega’s new, edgy appearance as the titular heroine in the upcoming Addams Family spinoff series on Netflix. The brunette actress ditched her medium-length hair in favour of a spunky, bob with layers and chops. The 20-year-old models her new hairstyle in an Instagram image from December 16 and an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon while donning a metallic, chained waist-trainer over a black, semi-sheer, white collared maxi dress and black platform pumps.

Jimmy Fallon interviewed Ortega about how she came up with Wednesday’s now-famous dance to The Cramps’ 1981 song “Goo Goo Muck,” which she plays on the show while wearing hair extensions braided into two braids.

Ortega told Jimmy Fallon she wanted to choreograph the dance herself. “[Burton] was like, ‘I know you’ve got it. You’ve been working on it. I’m not even worried about it. I trust you.’ And I said, ‘Oh, yeah, you know, it’s all so good,'” the actress said, before adding, “I had not gone over it at all.”

Ortega also said Netflix officials told her that her dance was “gonna be a thing on TikTok.” She added, “And then they were right.”
