Kiara Advani wishes she was part of Gangubai Kathiawadi

Sanjay is busy right now with the Gangubai Kathiawadi campaign for the BAFTA Awards. The movie is up for consideration by BAFTA members in all categories, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Leading Actress, and Best Film Not in the English Language.

Kiara was asked what her favorite 2022 movie was that she wanted to be in. “I couldn’t blink while watching that film. I thought Alia was phenomenal in the film. I think what Sanjay sir does, the way he brings it out of his artistes is… I wish I had been a part of something like that,  she told in an interview.

In September of this year, Kiara was seen at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office, which led to rumors that the actor might be in his next movie.

Alia played the title role in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Ajay Devgn, Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, and Seema Pahwa were also in the cast. It is one of the few Bollywood movies released this year that made it into the “100 crore club.” It’s about a girl who is sold into prostitution by a suitor and how she becomes a well-known person in the red-light district of Kamathipura.
