A woman alleges Nick Carter physically attacked her as a youngster more than 20 years ago. A source close to the singer denies the allegation.

Shannon Ruth sued Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, 42, claiming he sexually abused her when she was 17 on his tour bus in 2001. TMZ and Rolling Stone broke the story.

Carter’s source disputes the claims.

“This accusation concerning a 20-year-old occurrence is legally baseless and false.”

Holtz said, “Unfortunately, Ms. Ruth has been manipulated into making false allegations about Nick for years, and those allegations have changed repeatedly and materially over time. No one should be fooled by a press stunt orchestrated by an opportunistic lawyer — there is nothing to this claim, which the courts will quickly realise.”

Ruth, who has autism and cerebral palsy, said Carter invited her on his bus after a Backstreet Boys event in Washington.

Documents state that when Ruth inquired for apple juice, the singer provided her a crimson drink he termed “VIP juice.” Ruth thinks Carter’s cranberry drink included alcohol, despite his claim.

Carter allegedly wanted oral sex from Ruth in the restroom. The singer reportedly raped her on a bed thereafter. Ruth said she was a virgin and developed HPV.

Ruth alleges the singer threatened her she’d go to prison if she reported the attack.

She’s suing for sexual battery and mental anguish.

Melissa Schuman, then 18 and Carter 22, accused Carter of rape in 2017.

The musician refuted Schuman’s charges, stating everything they did was “consensual.” He was never charged with a crime. In 2018, the Los Angeles DA’s office dropped the case due to the statute of limitations.
