The film ‘Star Wars: Rogue Squadron’ by Patty Jenkins in making
Patty Jenkins has stated that the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron film will continue to be developed despite the problems that were encountered during previous production stages.
According to CBR, the director of Wonder Woman stated that “After a lengthy and fruitful creative process, I decided to leave Rogue Squadron when it became apparent that the movie would not be able to be released soon enough. I did not want to further postpone the release of [Wonder Woman 3].
When that happened, Lucasfilm asked me if I would be interested in coming back to RS after World War 3, which was something I would be honored to do, so I said yes. They offered me a fresh deal to work with. In point of fact, I am still working on it, and ever since then, that project has been undergoing consistent progress.”
Jenkins is still exercising caution with regard to completing the movie given its ongoing situation.
“I don’t know if it will happen or not. We never do until the development process is complete, but I look forward to its potential ahead.” The director’s update comes just months after Lucasfilm removed the project from its release schedule.
