Betty reveals that . After our cat Sophie was hit by a bike, both of her front legs were fractured and she looked like Frankenstein with splints. Children were heartbroken. Al Schultz told me to drink wine and call Betty. I heard, “You won’t drop her. See my orthopedist.” I took Al’s card.

You lectured me about rescue pets after I bought a pet store dog. Idiot! Since then, I’ve rescued every dog. We’ve got two mutts.

You told me about a new pilot while we were filming Mama’s Family and I lost you to The Golden Girls. It was perfect! Young people still love it.

You appreciated raunchy and silly jokes. Someone questioned if you were offended when called a “great broad” Saying, “Oh, honey, thanks! We’re old enough to be great broads.” Bold, raunchy,-so-seasoned-you’re-dizzy broads.

I miss calling people. Nobody tells you how complicated middle age is. I’d ask you many questions. I always wanted to be Betty White. I’m glad we met.
