Watch: Deepika Padukone calls her FIFA World Cup outfit ‘perfect’

Deepika Padukone is a Bollywood actress who works in Hindi films. She is one of the highest-paid actresses in India, and her accolades include three Filmfare Awards.

Deepika Padukone is one of the best actresses in Bollywood. For her, being able to show off the 2022 FIFA World Cup trophy before the nail-biting final between Argentina and France is a big deal.

Padukone posed as the House Ambassador for the French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton with former Spanish footballer Iker Casillas while escorting the custom-made Louis Vuitton case to reveal the sparkling trophy before the match started on Sunday.

On one hand, the world praised the Bajirao Mastani actress for being the first Indian to present the FIFA trophy. On the other hand, not everyone liked Padukone’s custom-made Louis Vuitton outfit for the big event.

Even though people on social media and the fashion police commented on Padukone’s Instagram post, the actress was really impressed by Nicolas Ghesquière’s dress. She even said it was “perfect” for the event.

The Desi Boyz star wore a black skirt, a black shoulder piece with a design on it, a white shirt underneath, and a brown sleeveless multizipper drawstring jacket. The jacket and bodice of the custom-made suit were accessorized with a bold belt. Padukone selected a pair of black shoes to finish off the ensemble.

The Chennai Express actress expressed her thanks for being present at the “greatest athletic moment in history” in a video she shared on Instagram.

The outfit’ inspiration was also described by Padukone, who said: “It’s a very special look by my very dear friend Nicolas. And what I love about it is that it is so perfect for what we are going to do which is unveiling the trophy. But at the same time, it’s really comfortable.”
