Ed Harcourt found some lyrics that were written for Lisa Marie Presley

The musician and songwriter, best known for penning songs for Paloma Faith and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, collaborated with Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley, on her final album, “Storm and Grace,” which was released in 2012.

Ed has recalled Lisa Marie having a “wicked sense of humour” and a potty mouth during their 2010 recording sessions.

In a touching memory, Ed shared to Facebook: “Thinking of Lisa Marie Presley and her family today.

“Unearthed some lyrics of an unreleased song yesterday….the last one we wrote I believe. I had such a great time working with her back in 2010.

“We ended up writing a few tracks for her album ‘Storm and Grace’, including this one with Jimmy Hogarth. She had a wicked sense of humour and swore like a sailor and although we lost touch, I’m very fond of those times. I always thought her voice had such a gorgeous tone. RIP.”

The 54-year-old celebrity died on January 12 from a heart arrest at the age of 54, and on January 19 she was buried at Graceland’s Meditation Garden with her son Benjamin Keough, who committed suicide in 2020.

On Sunday there was also a memorial service open to the public (22.01.23).

Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses was one of the musicians that paid tribute at the monument.
