James Middleton says Ella died after short illness

• James’ first adult dog was Ella, a beautiful spaniel who helped him through sadness.
• James and Alizee have six other dogs—Zulu, Inka, Luna, Mabel, Nala, and Isla.

James Middleton is sad about the death of his dog Ella, who he loved very much.

Kate Middleton’s younger brother posted two black-and-white photos of the cocker spaniel on Instagram with the sad news on Friday.

“It makes me very sad to say that my dear Ella has died,” James, 35, wrote in the caption. “Ella has been by my side for 15 years, from the worst times to the best. I’m going to really miss her.”

“Ella only got sick for a short time. She died in my arms at home and is now buried in the garden next to Tilly, the family dog who also died,” he said. “I took this photo a few hours before she passed away.”

James wrote, “I’m barely keeping it together to write this, and even though I knew this day would come, it doesn’t make it any easier.” “Good night, my sweet Ella. [My wife] Alizee and the dogs will take good care of me.”

Ella sat in the grass, peering right into the camera, followed by James lovingly cradling her.

James’ first adult dog was Ella, a beautiful spaniel who helped him through sadness. In 2020, James told that Ella’s presence in treatment made all the difference.

“I got this diagnosis and Ella came to all of my therapy appointments,” he added. She helped me realise I had a mental disorder.

“Ella doesn’t realise that I owe her my life,” he said.

James and Alizee have six other dogs—Zulu, Inka, Luna, Mabel, Nala, and Isla.

Ella was the mother of Lupo, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s nine-year-old black cocker spaniel.

“Very regrettably this weekend our lovely dog, Lupo, passed away,” the Prince and Princess of Wales stated. “He was the heart of our family for nine years and we shall miss him.”

It is reported that James gave Prince William and Princess Kate another puppy before Lupo died. Orla, the black cocker spaniel, was in Princess Charlotte’s 7th birthday portrait last year.

Celtic Orla means “golden princess,” ideal for a royal pet.
