Jamie Lynn Spears sobs as she misses her kids on Special Forces
Jamie Lynn Spears felt like a “crap parent” for leaving her two girls behind to shoot “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,” a Fox reality series about military training.
The 31-year-old “Zoey 101” alum confessed in a candid interview on Wednesday night’s program, “I miss my children if I’m gone from them for like, you know, couple of hours.”
Spears sobbed to one of the on-staff Navy SEALS after sharing a 14-year-old daughter, Maddie, with ex-Casey Aldridge, and a 4-year-old daughter, Ivey, with husband, Jamie Watson.
She muttered to Remi Adeleke, “My babies,” outlining her desire to leave the program.
The “Sweet Magnolias” star continued, “It probably goes back to many things, and not only do I simply adore them and want to be with them but also being away from them in this way even just for myself makes me feel like a lousy mom.”
“They didn’t request that their mother go,”
In a recent episode, Spears discussed how she decided to join doshow in an effort to step out from under the shadow of her famous sister Britney Spears.
“I adore her dearly and am incredibly proud of her, but I don’t know. The former Nickelodeon star admitted during the show’s launch that she sometimes feels as though she doesn’t truly have anything for herself.
She continued by stating that while she was “very pleased” of Britney’s success, she desired for her own identity and to “be viewed as [her] own person.”
The on-camera admission did not sit well with Britney, 41, who shortly after the show’s airing called out her younger sister on Instagram.
“Are we going to imply that being my sister was difficult? In a since-deleted Instagram post, the “Stronger” singer questioned, “Really?,” she wrote.”We teach her the MEANING OF MEAN, but in the end, we cast her out with no sense of self!!!! You want me to broadcast it on TV? Because that’s all my family has ever been to me, I’d rather to spit in their faces and trash them on Instagram.
Jamie Lynn remembered her time on “Special Forces” favorably despite the possibility of upsetting her older sister.
At the show’s red carpet premiere last month, the author of “Things I Should Have Said” told that she was “very grateful” to have grown a family while filming.”After this, everyone felt like family. When you initially get on [set], you attach right away, she continued. Without the help of all these incredible new individuals in my life, I would not have been able to go through [this].
One of the cast members who seems to connect with Spears the most is Spice Girls member Mel B.
She was seen comforting the Netflix actress on the episode that aired on Wednesday night when she revealed that she was prepared to end the show.
Mel B, 47, who is a member of the Spice Girls, stated when Spears left the group, “But when somebody you genuinely love goes, that’s a really tough thing. I’d like to think I’m very much part of a group, where you can rely on others.”
