Jeremy Renner airlifted to hospital after snowplow ran over his leg
Jeremy Renner was airlifted out of a town in Nevada on Sunday morning after a freak accident in which his snowplough ran over his leg.
Monday, TMZ got a hold of new footage that shows a helicopter taking off from a cleared road in the middle of a lot of snow. The helicopter is carrying the Marvel star, who is barely holding on to life, to a nearby hospital.
One of Renner’s neighbors told the outlet that the plough ran over one of Renner’s legs by accident, which caused him to lose a lot of weight.
Another neighbor who is a doctor was able to put a tourniquet on the “Avengers” star’s leg until paramedics came and flew him to the hospital.
In a statement released late Sunday, Renner’s representative said that the 51-year-old Oscar-nominated actor was in “critical but stable condition” after the accident.
The rep also said, “His family is with him, and he is getting great care.”
Renner lives about 25 miles outside of Reno near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe. He has posted videos and photos of himself using his plough to help his family get out of snowstorms once they are over.
“I respect Mother Earth and Mother Nature so much… “I expect to lose the fight, but I’ll always give it my best shot #tahoelife life #snowthrower,” he wrote in the caption of a video he posted in mid-December of himself clearing a path with his plough.
