Jeremy Renner speaks out for first time since accident

Jeremy Renner Hawkeye actor broke his silence on Tuesday by posting a selfie to Instagram taken from his hospital bed. “I appreciate all of your warm words. I’m currently too confused to type. But I do send you all my love “In the caption, he stated.

On January 1st, New Year’s Day, Renner was hurt in a snowplough accident on his property in Reno, Nevada. He was airlifted to the hospital with acute chest trauma and orthopaedic injuries. He had surgery on January 2 and was in a critical but stable condition at the time, staying in the intensive care unit.

Tuesday, a representative said Renner was “On Sunday, he cleared snow from his driveway so that his family could leave after spending New Year’s together. Additionally, he was assisting his neighbour with snow removal because everyone up there had been without power for 24 hours and there had been a significant amount of snowfall.”

He was assisting everyone in attempting to clear the snow so that people could exit, the spokesman continued.

Renner’s representative added in a previous statement from that day, “The Carano and Murdock families, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve, and the amazing doctors and nurses caring for Jeremy are all thanked by Jeremy’s family. They are also incredibly moved and grateful for all of the love and support from his followers.”

Daughter Ava Berlin, 9, is born to Renner and his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco.

According to local authorities, the actor was the only party involved in the event. According to a representative, “his family is with him and he is receiving exceptional care” following the accident. Soon after, a source described Renner’s wounds as “extensive,” and a representative stated that he was still in “serious but stable condition.”

In addition to parts in the blockbuster Marvel films American Hustle (2013), The Bourne Legacy (2012), and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015), Renner is best recognised for his portrayal of the Avengers hero Hawkeye. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his roles in The Hurt Locker (2008) and The Town (2010).
