Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not renounce their titles but rather need to “be taken away” immediately by the King. says insider.

The Duke of Sussex made it known that he had issues with the Royal Family and that the pair had no intention of giving up their roles.

In accordance with the law as it stands, King Charles III would have to convince MPs to introduce new laws before he could have the Sussex title returned to the Crown.

Mr Andersen said: “He can’t relinquish them, they are going to have to be taken away. He’d have to go to his father and do that.

“My feeling is they actually would love to hold on to them. When he says he wants to repair his relationship with his father and brother, I suppose, on some level he does.

“He thinks it’s possible but this might be in the same category as his magical thinking about his mother still being alive.”

He told US Weekly: “I don’t think any rational person could look at this and think they’re headed towards some sort of reconciliation.”

Following the release of the Duke’s shocking memoir, Spare, questions have once more been raised about the future of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s titles.

When her grandson married Meghan in 2018, the late Queen bestowed upon him the title of Duke of Sussex. He was also given the additional titles of Baron Kilkeel and Earl of Dumbarton.
