Prince William’s and Harry’s popularity ratings have both declined since the release of Spare by eight percentage points and seven points, respectively, according to Ipsos Mori.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s popularity in the UK and the US has significantly decreased as a result of his memoir “Spare,” which has rarely hurt the reputation of the entire royal family.

According to reports, Meghan Markle has lost five points and Kate Middleton has lost seven. Although only 53% of people say they have a favourable opinion of the Royal Family and 51% of people say the same about King Charles III, Harry’s accusations haven’t had much of an impact on the royal family’s reputation as a whole.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, on the other hand, continue to be the most well-liked royals, with ratings of 61% and 60%, respectively. While nearly 70% believe that Kate’s husband William will make a good king.

In his book, Meghan’s husband took aim at Kate’s partner, describing decades of simmering rivalry.

Harry’s favorability is currently at 23%, down from nearly 70% in 2018. 53 percent of people find him unfavourable, up from about 10 percent in 2018.

In the US, where Harry and Meghan now reside, Kate is the most well-liked royal with 47% of the vote, followed by the Duke with 4%, William with 40%, and Meghan with 35%.

Kelly Beaver, the head of Ipsos in the UK and Ireland, was quoted by the Telegraph as saying: “Following the publication of the Duke of Sussex’s memoir and the allegations contained therein, both Prince Harry and his brother Prince William appear to have suffered in the eyes of the British public.

There is also some evidence that other members of the Royal Family are also feeling the effects of the backlash. This information highlights once again how important it is for the monarchy to communicate with and relate to younger generations.”

British attitudes toward the King, the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Princess Royal, and the Royal Family as a whole remain significantly more positive than negative, and opinions of the institution as a whole haven’t changed much in recent years.

On January 10 and 11, Ipsos conducted interviews with 1,000 adults in the UK, ages 18 to 75. The findings for the US come from a 916-adult Ipsos survey conducted between January 11 and 12.
