Kody Brown, 53, has experienced three breakups in the recent months. His separations from his first wife Meri Brown and second wife Janelle Brown were made public during the three-part Sister Wives: One on One special, while his third wife Christine Brown made their separation public in November 2021.

Kody is still married solely to Robyn, 44. Robyn admitted on Sunday’s final Sister Wives: One on One episode that she is unsure of Kody’s future plans in light of everything he has just been through, however she did say that “he’s basically said no” to bringing in new wives.

Robyn still has ideas of herself living a polygamous life. She stated that she could imagine herself asking Kody to “do this again,” but she is “scared of it because of how terribly this has gone,” anchor Sukanya Krishnan said.

“I struggle with it so much because it makes me feel as though, “Oh, well. They weren’t successful. On to [someone] fresh, then,” “She spoke. “That’s difficult for me. That’s quite difficult for me. It seems unjustified.”

Because of what he’s gone through, Kody once acknowledged that he is “right on the verge of not even being a polygamous.” In a similar vein, Christine asserted that she believes Kody no longer possesses the “capacity” to engage in polygamy and that he should pursue monogamy with his “soul mate,” Robyn.

Christine, 50, said, “I think a part of them will always be a little bit unhappy that this didn’t work and that the huge family didn’t work.” And since it’s a dream, don’t you think there would still be some grief and some sense of loss there? Giving up on a dream is difficult because they didn’t want to do so.

In another part of the episode, Robyn revealed the reasons why most of Kody’s marriages failed. She specifically singled out Christine and Janelle, claiming that they “made decisions” that had an effect on the course of their romances.

“They basically handed him to me with the statement, “We don’t want to spend time with him.” “You have him here all the time,” “She spoke. “They made decisions that prevented him from feeling as like he could travel there due to his own convictions about the need of protecting his family, our jobs, and our health. He’s more present, so of course he’ll get along well with my kids.”

Robyn added, “If you’re sitting there just constantly nagging at your husband about what you didn’t get, even though you have this apple in your hand but you really want her orange, then how is he supposed to feel like you see what he’s doing for you? How is he supposed to feel appreciated?”
