Britney Spears’ alleged “meltdown” was denied by Sam Asghari. A sensationalized claim that the pop singer had a “meltdown” at a restaurant was refuted by Spears’ husband.
On Saturday night, Sam defended his wife on Instagram Stories, stating, “Don’t believe what you read online people.”
The actor made his tweet a few hours after it was reported that Spears, 41, “created a disturbance” at Joey in Woodland Hills, California, on Friday night while out to dinner with Asghari, 28.
The “Hold Me Closer” singer allegedly behaved erratically and began “talking gibberish,” which caused the former personal trainer to “storm out,” according to eyewitness accounts posted on the website.
As opposed to the eyewitness allegations, a video acquired just showed Spears covering her face with a menu while another customer recorded her on a smartphone in the middle of the restaurant. Notably, neither Spears’ rambling speech nor Asghari’s irate exit from the scene was visible in the video.
It was previously informed by a manager at Joey that they were unable to “disclose any information” regarding the celebrity couple’s newsworthy visit.
The restaurant who mocked Britney by recording her without her permission was the disruptor, an employee today exclusively tells us.
The employee claims that Asghari “just left short to grab their car, but he did not storm out,” and that Spears “was understandably furious.”
In an Instagram video, Spears first responded to the event by showing the middle finger. I know the news is all amped up about me being a little intoxicated at a restaurant, she wrote on Sunday night. Like they’ll be observing every move I make! I’m so thrilled that they make fun of me and then have the guts to bring up all of the bad stuff from my past!
The Grammy winner was placed under a conservatorship for nearly 14 years, giving her now-separated father, Jamie Spears, responsibility over her personal, financial, and medical matters.
In November 2021, a judge in Los Angeles ended the contentious arrangement, and six months later, Britney wed Asghari.
