Chrissy Teigen skipped Grammys to be with daughter

Chrissy Teigen eventually cancelled her appearance at the Grammy Awards so she could spend time with her newborn daughter.

Chrissy had been gearing up to return to the spotlight to support her singer partner at the awards presentation in Los Angeles on Sunday night (05.02.23) but ducked out at the last minute.

The 37-year-old model and her husband John Legend welcomed their daughter Esti on January 13.

Chrissy has now revealed she decided to stay home with the kids instead. She posted a picture of herself holding Esti on Instagram and wrote: “Happy Grammy day!! Had a dress fitting, looked around and realised … What the hell am I trying to prove here. I cannot get up lol.”

John was up for three awards, performed on the night, and his wife admitted that she was rooting for him from home.

In a message posted on her Instagram Stories, she explained: “No Grammys for me tonight but cheering on @johnlegend’s 3 noms and performance!”

Although John was not recognised for any of the prizes for which he was nominated, his performance of “God Did” at the ceremony’s conclusion with DJ Khaled, Fridayy, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Jay Z was well received.

The couple already has a daughter Luna, a sister, and a boy named Miles, who is four years old. Chrissy used a cute photo of the children cuddling their new sister to announce the birth of their third child.
