Ahead of the BRIT Awards with Mastercard on Saturday night (11.02.23), David Guetta has been awarded Producer of the Year.

The renowned French DJ and producer, who will perform at the awards show at The O2 in London with Becky Hill and Ella Henderson and who is also nominated for International Song of The Year for his collaboration with Bebe Rexha on “I’m Good (Blue),” has been announced as the winner of the prestigious honour. Last year, Beyonce’s producer Inflo won it.

David said: “I am very honoured to receive ‘Producer of the Year’. I have always felt a strong connection to British music and culture. The UK music scene is full of world-class artists and producers so to be recognised like this means a lot to me. Thank you so much!”

The “I’m Good (Blue)” hitmaker has over the years written singles for artists like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Ariana Grande, to mention a few.

Kid Harpoon, who worked with Harry Styles to develop and produce the songs on his GRAMMY-winning solo LP “Harry’s House,” was also awarded Songwriter of the Year honours.

Tom Hull, better known as Harpoon, will accept his honour on the BRITs red carpet.

His resume also features Florence + The Machine, Jessie Ware, and Shakira in addition to the former member of One Direction.

He said: “To be acknowledged by the BRITs this year for songwriting, a beautiful and complex craft, is unbelievable. It’s a dream come true to create for a living, I cannot wait to celebrate with everyone on Saturday.”

The R+B girl group FLO, this year’s Rising Star honorees, are the only other winners who have previously been revealed before the major celebration.

With four each, Harry and Wet Leg have received the same number of nominations.
