Jane Fonda, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, recently detailed her regrets in life. She was speaking with CNN’s Chris Wallace when the topic came up. She began by saying that she wished she had handled her three children, Troy Garity, Mary Luana Williams, and Vanessa Vadim, differently.

The 85-year-old continued by saying that even though she has cancer, she is more terrified of “coming to the end of life with a lot of regrets, when there is no time to do anything about it” than of actually dying. “I was not the kind of mother to my kids that I wish I had been. I have wonderful, wonderful kids. Talented. Smart.”

She says, “I just did not know how to do it.” “I have studied parenting, and I run a group in Georgia that works with teenagers. Now I am aware of what should be done. When I did not know.
