King Charles has demonstrated the strict attitude he will take against non-working royals, thus Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may now face new difficulties.

This news comes as Prince Andrew reportedly faces having to leave Royal Lodge because his £249,000 allowance will be reduced starting in April, making it difficult for him to pay for maintenance.

According to reports, as part of a broader examination of the Privy Purse, which is the Sovereign’s private income and primarily derives from the Duchy of Lancaster, His Majesty seeks to lower his brother’s money.

The Duchy [of Lancaster], which is now held by Charles, has instructed all members of the Royal Family to restrict their budgets and anticipate receiving less money than in the past, according to the sources.

The King is thought to be eager to cut costs and “thin down” the monarchy in light of public opinion.

Despite the fact that the Duchy monies are private, he has mandated a thorough investigation of their use.

This might have significant repercussions for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex because, according to a royal observer, Charles may use his more assertive style to “strong-arm” them into giving up their titles.

In the New Zealand Herald, Daniela Elser stated that this could “have major repercussions for their ability to make money in the years to come.”

Although a Mirror poll revealed that 95% of respondents were in favor of the Sussexes having their titles removed, an act of Parliament would still be required for either Andrew or Harry to lose their titles formally.

We now face the likelihood that Charles is preparing to pursue his brother’s royal benefits and effectively demote him to second-string status, Ms. Elser says.

And if His Majesty is prepared to punish him severely, Harry and Meghan will be left without their “what about Andrew” safety net.

She goes on to say that Charles might be “compelled” to act if Harry and Meghan continue to exploit their titles to benefit from criticizing the Firm.

“With Charles supposedly prepared to trim Andrew’s sails and tighten up on his royal privileges, this might represent quite the bad wind for Harry and Meghan at a time when their US careers would seem to be at something of a crossroads,” she said.

The Sussexes will attend the Coronation of the King and Queen Consort on May 6 despite their conflict with the family, according to sources.

It is unknown if Harry and Meghan will agree because they are rumored to be worried about how the British public will respond.

However, it can be seen as a snub if they choose not to go.

Harry has said in interviews that he wants to make amends with his family but prefers private conversations.
