Tuesday, a source disclosed to PEOPLE “Leo and Eden just so happened to be hanging out in the same group and were seated next to each other at the party. Leo is not necessarily dating any girl, even if they are conversing or sitting together.” The shared photo fueled the Twitter frenzy, with users calling out DiCaprio for his pattern of dating younger women.

A person commented, “Smh, Leonardo DiCaprio (nearly 50) is hanging out with a 19-year-old girl who was a child just a few years who, and was not even alive when the movie Titanic came out. Another user tweeted, “Leonardo DiCaprio is approaching 50 and dating someone who attended prom on Zoom.”

DiCaprio was likened by another user to comedian Dane Cook, 50, who is engaged to Kelsi Tayor, 24. One person made a comment about DiCaprio’s background in general.

Prior to the Lamas story, DiCaprio had a committed relationship with actress and model Camila Morrone. Morrone was 25 when the couple split up in August 2022 after four years of dating. In a 2019 interview with The Los Angeles Times, Morrone addressed the age difference between herself and DiCaprio.
