Actress Lily James of Pam & Tommy talked about how the remarkable bodily transformation of Zac Efron caught her off guard.

James, 33, who co-stars with Efron in the upcoming thriller The Iron Claw, admitted that she had trouble focusing on the set of the movie.

“[He had] a great bowl cut, but he was also incredibly muscly which was slightly more distracting.”

James added further, “But what was more incredible is his performance, he has really transformed.”

Last year, the actor’s many admirers were in a state of shock when they saw him onstage looking radically different.

The 35-year-old actor unveiled his new appearance while walking about the Louisiana set of his movie while wearing a knitted grey tank top and skin-tight denim cut-off shorts that showed off his extremely toned and tanned legs.

In the pictures, he was sporting a hairstyle that was far from his neat, square haircut, more akin to a pudding bowl style haircut.

With enormous muscles and a chiseled six-pack, the star physique of The Greatest Showman underwent a complete transformation.

In The Iron Claw, which chronicles the Von Erich family who was wrestling icons in their 1960s heyday but went on to be haunted by tragedy after tragedy, Efron plays the character of 1960s famed wrestler Kevin Von Erich.

The athlete, who is currently 65 years old, had held the WCWA World Heavyweight Championship.
