Pawan Kalyan remembers his battle with depression
Recently, actor Pawan Kalyan found time to film for the well-liked Unstoppable discussion show in Telugu. Currently in its second season, the program is hosted by actor Nandamuri Balakrishna. In the opening segment of the conversation, Pawan Kalyan discussed his experience with depression and revealed that as a young adult, he considered “taking my own life.”
This program, which has previously featured a number of Telugu film industry luminaries, is where Pawan made his television debut. On February 10 on Aha, the second segment of Pawan’s conversation with Balakrishna will debut.
Pawan was mentioned by India Today as discussing his battle with depression. “Despite having overwhelming depressive issues, I persisted. I felt alone because of my frequent hospitalizations and my asthma. I’m not a very social person as a result.
“At the age of 17, the stress of final exams made my sadness worse. My eldest brother (Chiranjeevi Konidela) had a licensed revolver, and I remember preparing to use it to kill myself when he wasn’t home, he said. In order to become a better person, Pawan admitted that he started reading, practicing martial arts, and listening to Carnatic music.
In the movie Bheemla Nayak, which also starred Rana Daggubati, Pawan was last spotted. The film, which was directed by Saagar K. Chandra, centers on two guys who get into a fight over an incident and let their egos lead them on a crazy ride: a police sergeant and a suspended army havildar.
The Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum, whose title characters engage in a tug-of-war to determine who is the more powerful, inspired Bheemla Nayak. Biju Menon portrayed the role of Ayyappan Nair, a police officer with a spotless record, while Prithviraj was portrayed as former army havildar Koshy Kurian, who had served for 16 years.
The next Telugu historical action movie Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which marks Pawan’s first partnership with director Krish Jagrlamudi, is currently scheduled for release. His upcoming production, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, will reunite him with director Harish Shankar.
