The new dance number Show Me The Thumka from Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s forthcoming movie Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is getting a lot of attention for its choreography and music. Since its publication, their dance moves have become a topic of discussion on social media. Ranbir is the “greatest dancer after Madhuri Dixit,” according to a fan who just tweeted a music clip. While some Twitter users agreed with him, many others claimed that Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Govinda, and Varun Dhawan were superior dancers.

You can probably cover any of his songs—including Breakup song—on this and get the same results. But of course, everyone has their own preferences. Similar remarks included the following: “Ranbir dances with ease and spirit. Hrithik and Tiger dance more like robots.

Another person replied, “I’m not sure about him being the best but surely a very excellent one,” in response to the question of whether Varun Dhawan makes the cut. Given how much the technique has changed, I doubt anyone in Bollywood dances with as many facial expressions these days. Varun Dhawan perhaps comes close. What do you think?

A Twitter user made a pitch for Shahid by writing, “I obviously disagree with Ranbir, but I also really like Shahid! Presumably the one of them who moves the fastest? Instead of counting steps per second, dancing should be judged on how expressive it is. Shahid Kapoor is a better dancer than Ranbir, a different supporter remarked. Another echoed this sentiment and commented, “@shahidkapoor trained under @shiamakofficial, and yeah, he is a fairly decent actor.

Luv Ranjan is in charge of directing Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. Hasleen Kaur, Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor, Rajesh Jais, and Ayesha Raza are also featured in it. It will debut in theaters on March 8 in time for Holi.

Ranbir recently finished filming his other movie, Animal. Starring in it are Suresh Oberoi, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Shakti Kapoor.
