RHONJ: Gia Giudice accuses Melissa Gorga of lying
Gia Giudice said that a “sad” Melissa Gorga had lied to harm Teresa Giudice, her mother.
Teresa sat down with her two oldest daughters, Gia, 22, and Gabriella, 19, as well as her fiance, Luis Ruelas, on Tuesday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” to discuss her heated altercation with Gorga, which aired last week.
Melissa had claimed at the time that her sister-in-law had purposefully seated the entire Gorga family at a separate table during her engagement party. Teresa vigorously refuted her claims.
Teresa also revealed to them that after publicly stating Melissa had been passed over a month earlier, she invited Melissa to be a bridesmaid as a means to make things right.
Gia replied to her mother, “I wish you had never asked her that because, not for nothing, you’re still furious because she said she was there for us.”
Back in May 2022, Melissa asserted that Joe and she were responsible for getting the three-part television series “Teresa Checks In,” which followed the lives of the Giudices throughout her 11-month incarceration in 2015.
On her “On Display” podcast at the time, Melissa claimed, “Joe [Giudice] needed to make money on that show and he needed someone to film with, and here we were that jumped in.” Joe Gorga said that Teresa’s daughters “would not still be living in that house and have food” if they hadn’t intervened.
In her confessional, Gia said, “The only times we truly saw them were when we were on television together. “I honestly can’t recall the last time I saw them.”
Joe and Melissa’s statements were “hurtful,” according to Gabriella, because it was a “sensitive moment.”
Gabriella said, “Particularly when it’s not true. “Credit shouldn’t be granted to people who haven’t earned it. That immediately impacts me, thus I consider it important.
During this time, Ruelas also criticized his brother-in-law Joe for hurting Teresa by going “along this route.”
Ruelas continued, “Because it is sad, it’s terrible. “I’m really sorry you’re being treated this way, but I find it inexcusable to see this man behaving like this and say things like, “Man, you don’t think I notice you? I can see you a mile away.
Teresa and Gia both shed tears as they acknowledged how “painful” the breakup is given that Joe is the only remaining member of their immediate family.
Teresa and Luis concurred as Gia remarked, “Like at this point, it’s sort of like the trains must stop.”
Fans are aware that the two families’ conflict will persist throughout the season, which finally results in the Gorgas’ decision to skip Teresa and Ruelas’ wedding.
Bravo broadcasts “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” every Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. ET.
