Savannah Chrisley and Nanny Faye get emotional over missing everyone
Savannah Chrisley is being open about the toll that her parents’ absence is having on her well-known family. On the most recent edition of her Unlocked podcast with her grandma Nanny Faye, the Growing Up Chrisley star, 25, said, “If we are being honest about it, everyone knows mom and dad were your primary career.”
Todd and Julie Chrisley were given a combined 19 years in jail in November by a federal judge for tax fraud. Julie is currently serving a seven-year sentence at a prison in Kentucky, while Todd is completing his 12-year sentence at a facility in Florida.
Savannah said in last week’s show that she recently visited Todd, but owing to documentation problems, her 79-year-old grandmother had trouble seeing her son. Savannah said, “You have to go through hoops for visitation,” as her grandma talked about how she is adjusting to not being able to talk to Julie every day.
She said, her voice quivering, “There was not one treatment [for my bladder cancer] where my lovely daughter-in-law was not with me – not once.” She has been by my side throughout everything. Then again, it had already been “a month [and] I have not been where I could go to see her” since Todd and Julie had reported to prison. Savannah continued, “That is challenging because mom was everyone’s main career.
