Ananya Panday will portray a fashion guru in a new show called Call Me Bae

Check out this first look, and keep an eye out for #CallMeBae’s new series, which is currently in production! PrimeBae.” Varun addresses the audience directly at the beginning of the video to announce the new show titled Call Me Bae. Ananya intervenes and tells Varun to call “ME” Bae because it is her show in which she plays a “total fashion expert.” Varun then whispers to her that she is not a fashion expert just because she calls designer Manish Malhotra her “chachu” (uncle).

When Varun giggles as Ananya tries to decide between two blue belts with her stylist, their banter moves on. She then reverts to her Miranda Priestly self, the iconic character played by Meryl Streep in 2006’s The Devil Wears Prada, to smear Varun about his “chomu blue boxer” that was packed for him by an “unpaid intern” by the “fashion log (people)” that he criticizes. After that, Varun makes an effort to subdue her by calling her “Meryl Panday” and declaring, “She is going to kill it in Call Me Bae.” Ananya responds, “I know!”
In the comment section, the video received a number of responses, with some admiring the adorable banter between Varun and Ananya and others finding The Devil Wears Prada’s direct inspiration to be beyond comprehension. “Hehe this is so cute and our prime bae is super cutttoo” and “Mr. Bae is the cutest (red heart emoticons)” were among the comments. In the meantime, a few users commented with mixed feelings. Nope. Simply, NO Eliminate that conversation from her mouth. “Another show for the south Bombay audience” was another user’s comment, which read, “Not acceptable.”
Despite the fact that filming on the forthcoming Amazon Original Series has already begun, no additional information has been made available.
