Bob Odenkirk talks about being ‘very anxious’ after ‘Better Call Saul’ success
The upcoming season of Bob Odenkirk’s new AMC series Lucky Hank will see him make a comeback to the big screen.
Odenkirk, who gained notoriety for his role as Saul Goodman on the AMC comedy-drama series Breaking Bad and later won over viewers with his outstanding performance in the spin-off Better Call Saul, will play an English professor in the upcoming series, which is anticipated to begin streaming on March 19.
Odenkirk admitted to being “anxious” about the “high expectations” viewers have of him in the new programme following the success of the last two shows in an interview with Today host Brooke Boney on Friday.
“I get very, very anxious and I pour it into the work. Let’s make it better. Let’s ask what we can do better today,” he said.
“On the other hand, you do have to be willing to risk or you’re not going to make anything,” the actor continued.
The Seinfeld actor further added, “If I sit around waiting for something as wonderful in it’s conception as Saul, which came out of Breaking Bad maybe the best series ever, if I wait for that very thing to happen again I’ll never make another show.”
The team behind Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad executive produced the Odenkirk-starring film Lucky Hank.
