Jemima says she receives immense love from Pakistanis

Jemima Goldsmith debut film “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” has garnered rave reviews in the UK and is set to be released in Pakistan.

In a special interview to Bol News correspondent Moin Zubair, she opened up on wide range of issues including her upcoming film and her love for Pakistan.

Jemima said that unfortunately, negative side about Pakistan is shown on the big screen which worries viewers and her children are concerned what the happenings in Pakistan.

Therefore, she said that the she wanted to depict the vibrant colours of Lahore and the scenic beauty of Chitral in her film. She hoped that Pakistanis will like her efforts.

Jemima said she is grateful for the love received from Pakistanis and hope they understand her intention behind making the film.

She said her sons Qasim and Sulaiman liked the movie after watching it and are proud of it.

When asked about the reason why she is still in love with Pakistan, Jemima said she said a lot of support from Pakistanis.

“I get so much love from Pakistanis, way more than I get here. This is inspired by my ten years of living in Pakistan,” she said.

When asked about her preference for arranged or love marriages, she replied, “I don’t think one is necessarily better than the other. We don’t start with love. We end with love in an arranged marriage.”

Jemima Khan said she has been collecting funds to help the flood victims in Pakistan. She said efforts are also being made to help the earthquake victims in Syria and Turkiye. She is also spreading awareness on climate change.
