‘The Crown’ Season 6 Films meeting between Catherine Middleton and Prince William

Ed McVey and Meg Bellamy, who will play Prince William and Kate Middleton in the upcoming season of the Netflix series The Crown, have been seen filming scenes close to St. Andrews.

The sixth and last season of the well-known royal drama series began filming not far from Scotland’s University of St. Andrews, where the future Prince and Princess of Wales first met and fell in love while attending college.

The protagonists first meet while running in an image that has gone viral online, with McVey’s William stealing a glimpse at Bellamy’s Kate.

The future Prince and Princess of Wales are thought to have first set eyes on one another in this scene, which was filmed close to St. Andrews.

Princess Kate, 41, and Prince William, 40, have not revealed when they first met.

Kate acknowledged that it took some time for them to get to know one another in their 2010 engagement interview with ITV. She replied at the time to William, “I believe you mentioned I actually flushed hot red when I met you and sort of crawled off. I was apprehensive about meeting you, I confessed to People.

Season six of The Crown is anticipated to focus on the royal family’s late 1990s and early 2000s history, including the beginning of Prince William and  Kate’s love story.

The Emmy-winning series premiered back in November 2016 and is expected to release its sixth and final season later this year.
