Famous actor Affan Waheed recently addressed social media criticisms targeting artists who show signs of aging or opt for cosmetic surgery. During an appearance on the FHM Podcast with Adnan Faisal, where he was joined by co-star Amina Ilyas to promote his debut film Mastani, Waheed spoke candidly about the issue.
Responding to a question about the criticism artists face, Waheed stated, “Everyone has to grow old; not everyone stays forever young. And when someone enhances their beauty, it’s often said that they’re unhappy with their appearance or that they underwent plastic surgery.”
Waheed also revealed how such negativity affects him personally. “I have a sensitive nature. I get upset and go into depression when I see criticism or trolling on social media, so I try not to pay much attention to it. That’s why I often close my comments section,” he explained.
Concluding his remarks, Waheed offered advice to his peers: “If any artist wants to do something within their moral limits, they should not worry about society. Do whatever your heart desires, just keep moral boundaries in mind.”
