Since then, Fawad has primarily focused on Indian-backed projects, including his role in Khoobsurat.

Currently, he’s starring in Asim Abbasi’s Barzakh, where he plays Sheheryar. The show is a deep dive into themes of love, loss, and mental health, and also tackles queer issues. This latest role follows his portrayal of a gay character in the Bollywood film Kapoor & Sons.

One wrote, “Fawad Khan and his obsession with LGBTQ project,” Another wrote, “He needs to be canceled, everyone should boycott him.” While he remains a major figure in Pakistani cinema, the debate surrounding his career choices continues to stir strong reactions from the public.
