Khalil ur Rehman Seeks Help from FIA’s Cybercrime Wing After Explicit Video Leak

Renowned writer and poet Khalil ur Rehman Qamar recently turned to the Cyber Crime Cell of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) after explicit videos of him were leaked online.

The troubling sequence of events began when Qamar was invited to a woman’s home late at night, supposedly to discuss a new drama project. Instead, armed men broke into the house, assaulted him, and demanded a large ransom for his release. Qamar was eventually freed after allegedly paying a significant sum.

In his complaint, Qamar revealed that the gang blackmailed him, extorting a large amount of money. When he refused to pay even more, they recorded and released explicit videos of him, which he claims have severely damaged his reputation.

Qamar also reported the incident to Sundar Police Station in Lahore on July 21. As of now, Amna Urooj and 11 others have been taken into custody, with the alleged ringleader, Hassan Shah, arrested in Peshawar.

In the videos leaked online, Qamar can be seen smoking and getting intimate with a girl said to be a member of the gang who abducted and honey traped him.
