Renowned singer and social worker Shehzad Roy has raised a crucial issue regarding the cleanliness of his school, run by his organization Zindagi Trust, in Karachi. In a recent Instagram video, Roy, alongside students from SMB Fatima Jinnah School, addresses the problem of garbage dumping by local residents.
“I stand with folded hands in front of the apartments and residents around SMB Fatima Jinnah School in Karachi,” Roy states in the video. He acknowledges the common complaints about corrupt leaders and municipal failures but emphasizes the positive changes made by his organization. The video contrasts the school’s current use—a classroom turned into a conference space for girls, and an area formerly controlled by the land mafia now serving as a library—with its previous neglect and misuse.
Here is what Roy shared:

Roy expresses frustration at the ongoing issue, “I won’t blame all the residents, but many have witnessed this transformation, yet they still throw their garbage into the girls’ school.” He shares the plea of the 3,000 girls at the school, urging residents to stop littering the premises.
The singer concludes with a poignant remark: “If, after hearing these girls’ pleas, people continue to throw garbage here, then perhaps this nation would even throw garbage in heaven.” He seeks advice in his Instagram caption: “What should we do now to stop people from throwing garbage in our school?”
