Bollywood actress Ananya Panday expressed her admiration for Pakistani actors Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan at the IIFA Awards.

In an interview, Ananya shared her deep respect for their work, stating, “Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan are two of my absolute favourite Pakistani actors. I admire their work immensely.”

Her remarks have drawn attention from both sides of the border, demonstrating how acting talent is valued in both Pakistan and India. Ananya also discussed her relationship with Mahira on a personal level, recalling her time as an assistant director on the Raees set, where Mahira costarred with Shah Rukh Khan. She explained, “I was an unpaid intern at the time, but the experience gave me early exposure to the inner workings of the film industry.”
