According to source, Demi Lovato and Jutes met in January 2022. In August that year, both musicians publicly revealed their relationship. By December 2023, Jutes proposed to Lovato, eager to take the next step.

On “The Viall Files” podcast, Jutes shared that he nearly cried several times when he proposed with an original song. He revealed that, although he’s not a guitar player, he knows how to play chords. It took him a week to write the chords for that special track.

Jutes then shared that he had written and practiced a song after that. He continued, “Again, I’m not a guitar player, so rehearsing this song that ends in ‘Will you marry me?’ was really difficult,” adding, “I would mess up like three out of four times, so I was like when it comes time to do this I just got to get lucky and just nail it.”
