Is MCU’s ‘Agatha All Along’ return for season 2 on Disney plus? Find out here!
It’s the season of the witch, but fans might have to say goodbye to Agatha Harkness for good as the limited series concludes on Disney Plus, with the finale now streaming. The chances of getting a Season 2 of “Agatha All Along” seem to be limited to none.
Disney Plus and Marvel Studios round off the story of Agatha Harkness as they conclude the sequel to “WandaVision”. Portrayed by Kathryn Hahn, Harkness walks the witch’s road while trying to regain her lost magic.
A stellar cast joins Hahn, featuring Aubrey Plaza as Rio/Death, Joe Locke as Billy Maximoff/Teen, Patti LuPone as Lilia Calderu, Sasheer Zamata as Jennifer Kale, Ali Ahn as Alice Wu-Gulliver, and Debra Jo Rupp as Mrs. Hart.
Disney and Marvel Studios continue to label it as a limited series, indicating that they designed it as a nine-episode arc. Now that the finale is streaming, fans can clearly understand what the MCU intended for the story. Given the tremendous potential for the continuation of Billy and Agatha’s ghostly journey, it’s only natural that anticipation for a second season is rising.
The series emerged primarily due to the highly favorable reception of Hahn’s character in “WandaVision”, which was also a limited series. This makes the prospect of a second season quite difficult, although Marvel Studios could pivot to create a sequel featuring Agatha or any other character from the show. However, this remains highly unlikely, especially since there is no official statement regarding a second season.
Moreover, series creator Jac Schaeffer discussed her approach to storytelling, explaining that she treats “Agatha All Along” similarly to “WandaVision”. Schaeffer does not find the thrill in allowing the audience to spend more time with their favorite characters in a show.

She told Script Mag, “The thrill for me is I can take the audience’s hand and lead them on a journey that makes them want to come back week to week.”
Schaeffer continued, “It’s also why I haven’t yet made a multi-season show because I throw everything into that season. I’m like this. These are all my tricks. You get them all in this limited series.” She prefers to guide her fans through a narrative with a clear beginning and end, and therefore, she does not believe multiple seasons are necessary for the story.
All episodes of “Agatha All Along” are now available for streaming on Disney Plus.
