In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter for their cover story, the pop star opened up about her aspirations and hinted at stepping away from the music scene—at least temporarily.

When asked about her professional goals, Gomez revealed, “I think I’ve done just as much as I wanted to do in music,” adding, “but it’s exciting because I feel like I haven’t even started in film and TV.”

Despite having been part of successful projects in Hollywood, including the hit series Only Murders in the Building, Gomez expressed enthusiasm for taking on more acting challenges. “Even though I know I’ve been a part of some great projects and I’m really proud of them. I like that I have to earn my position, and I love storytelling. So, I’m excited to do more of that,” she shared.

When the interviewer sought clarification about her plans for music, Gomez reassured fans, saying, “Almost done. Music isn’t going away. I just set it down for a second.”
