Liam Payne’s funeral took place in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, north-west of London, where friends, family, and fans paid their final respects to the former One Direction singer. Payne, 30, tragically passed away in October following a fatal fall in Buenos Aires, South America.

Former bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik reunited to mourn their “brother.” Styles arrived in a BMW with TV personality James Corden, heading directly into St. Mary’s Church. Zayn joined his bandmates dressed in black, while a visibly distressed Tomlinson carried the order of service in his hands.

Simon Cowell, who helped launch One Direction on The X Factor, attended alongside fiancée Lauren Silverman. Liam’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, and former partner Cheryl Cole, mother to their son Bear, were also present. A white horse-drawn carriage carried Payne’s coffin, with floral tributes spelling “son” and “daddy.”

The surviving members of One Direction issued a heartfelt joint statement: “We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing… The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We love you, Liam.”

Payne had traveled to South America to support Niall Horan’s tour. His death was ruled accidental, with toxicology reports citing the presence of substances.
