Khushi Kapoor responds to being compared to mother Sri Devi by Aamir Khan

Khushi Kapoor is gearing up for the release of her much-anticipated film, Loveyapa, in which she stars alongside Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan. The film marks a significant milestone in her career, and Aamir Khan recently praised her performance, noting that it reminded him of her late mother, the legendary Sridevi.

Reacting to Aamir’s comments, Khushi expressed gratitude but remained humble. In an interview with Vickey Lalwani, she said, “It was very sweet of Aamir Khan to say that I reminded him of Sridevi. However, I don’t know if I would say that to myself.” She further emphasized, “Maybe that’s something for other people to notice, but I would never want to go anywhere near that or touch that.”

When asked if she planned to follow in her mother’s footsteps, Khushi was clear in her response. She stated that she preferred to carve her own path, saying, “I wouldn’t want to. I think I’m kind of finding myself as I go, and I don’t think following someone else would make that any easier.” She emphasized that she is still learning and evolving as an actor.

Meanwhile, Khushi and Junaid are actively promoting Loveyapa, which features a talented ensemble cast, including Grusha Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Kiku Sharda, and more. The film’s soundtrack has already created buzz, with songs like Loveyapa Ho Gaya, offering a glimpse into the lead pair’s relationship, and Rehna Kol, a romantic melody showcasing their on-screen chemistry.

Presented by AGS Entertainment and Phantom Studios, Loveyapa is directed by Advait Chandan and is set to hit theaters on February 7, 2025, perfectly timed for Valentine’s week.
