Jacqueline Fernandez’s mother, Kim Fernandez, passed away this morning, April 6, 2024, after being hospitalized for several days due to a stroke. The news of her unfortunate demise has shocked the actress’s fans and followers. Jacqueline has yet to release an official statement on the matter.

According to a report by News 18, the family will hold the funeral and last rites privately, with only close friends and family in attendance. Meanwhile, just a few minutes ago, Jacqueline Fernandez’s father and other family members were seen arriving at Lilavati Hospital, where Kim Fernandez had been undergoing treatment for the past few days.

For those who are unaware, the “Kick” actress’ mother was admitted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) on March 24, 2025. According to news, she was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack.

Upon receiving the news, the actress, who was out of the city, rushed back to be with her mother during her critical phase. Meanwhile, superstar Salman Khan, a close friend of the actress, also visited the hospital the same day to check on her mother’s well-being

The actress canceled her IPL performance scheduled for March 26, 2025, where she was set to perform before the match between the Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders in Guwahati.

“Jacqueline’s mother is still in the ICU recovering. As the family awaits further updates from the doctors. In these challenging times, Jacqueline has chosen to be by her mother’s side, and unfortunately, will be missing performing at the IPL Ceremony, shared a source close to the actress.” The official statement shared by the actress’s team revealed.

Ever since her mother was admitted, Jacqueline has consistently been seen visiting the hospital.

On the professional front, Jacqueline will next appear in Akshay Kumar’s “Housefull 5”. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the upcoming comedy-caper features an ensemble cast, including Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Dino Morea, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Disha Patani, and others. Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is set to release on June 6, 2025.
