Adnan Sami says he was offered award in exchange for a perfomance

Debate on the system of Bollywood industry goes on and so-called true colors of the industry are being revealed. Singer Adnan Sami has also confessed that he was once offered an award in exchange for a free performance.

He revealed that he refused the offer because of his ‘dignity and self-respect’.

Adnan Sami retweeted filmmaker Shekhar Kapur’s tweet and said, “Absolutely correct! I have faced similar ‘negotiations’ where they have wanted me to perform free of charge and bag the award… I told them to F*** Off- I will never ‘buy’ an award!! My dignity & self-respect is all that I will take into my grave- nothing else!!”

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur has earlier tweeted about the Bollywood culture. He said that the awards are not an appreciation of creativity, but a negotiation
