Dev Patel makes his directorial debut with ‘The Monkey Man.’
The film set in contemporary India, follows the Kid (Patel) as he returns from prison to confront a world riven by corporate greed and diminishing spiritual values. While the team finished filming last year and is currently in post-production, the film’s patchwork is being shot in India.
“Monkey Man is a bright, thrilling, and above all engaging story,” a source close to the crew said. The patchwork of post-production took place in Mumbai and is already complete. Everything fell into place perfectly, and the crew is overjoyed with how things have turned out.”

‘Money Man’ has a number of firsts, including Dev Patel’s directorial debut. Along with Indian actress Sobhita Dhulipala’s huge Hollywood debut. The film’s rights have been purchased by an OTT streaming provider.
