Now that things are returning to normal, filmmakers have begun to release one film after another. Regrettably, not every Bollywood film succeeds in making money at the box office. Many big-budget films have performed poorly at the box office. Mukesh Bhatt believes the reason for this is that the audience now requires more than what was available before to the pandemic.

Mukesh Bhatt stated in an interview with a news portal that the narrative must alter because the audience has seen really wonderful stuff on OTT during the pandemic. He stated that one cannot continue to give the same content to the public as before the outbreak. They will be left behind if the film industry does not modernise to keep up with the changing generation.

He went on to say that today’s Bollywood is all about setups, and setups don’t work; films do. Everything now, according to Mukesh Bhatt, is about trade. Everyone is preoccupied with determining how much money to invest, how much money to expect in return, and how much money to keep. It’s becoming more of a con game, and the integrity has vanished.
