Urmila Matondkar chose to enter politics in 2019. However, she recently spoke about the criticism she received from both politicians and users of social media. The performer claimed in an interview with an entertainment website. That she made a point of working harder while fending off the criticism around her. She continued by saying that, simply though she is an actor, she still encounters trolls. Urmila, though, is adamant that she is here to bring about change, and as a result, she is working harder.
In a previous interview, Urmila stated that her political adventure thus far has been exciting. She chose this term quite deliberately.
“When you say fascinating, it’s a lot of adjectives together. Not just nice, good and great, but interesting and intriguing as well, and difficult, too. I’m not one who would want to highlight my issues or struggles; I never have and don’t intend to. I’m one of those who likes to fight it out in their own way. Even today, there is a huge battle that a woman has to fight, and God forbid, if you happen to be decent-looking or if you happen to be an actor, it’s tough! There are so many stereotypes in people’s minds that at the beginning of your journey, they give you zero marks and then they are busy slandering you, calling you a pretty face and even referring to the ‘sexy’ tag,” she had explained.
She will soon be seen judging a television dance reality show for mothers, according to the job front.
