Fan sets Jhoome Jo Pathaan song to Lakadi Ki Kathi, calls it ‘apt’
Since the second song from the upcoming movie Pathaan, Jhoome Jo Pathaan, was released, fans have been attempting to combine it with other songs that they believe “fit” with the dance number starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. It had previously been a remix of the title track from Shah Rukh’s 1999 movie Badshah. The popular children’s song Lakadi Ki Kaathi from the 1983 movie Masoom is now being played, with a new tune.
A recreated version of Lakadi Ki Kaathi was added to a scene in Jhoome Jo Pathaan where Shah Rukh and Deepika are dancing as part of one Twitter user’s interpretation. So apt, he wrote, using the laughing and rolling on the floor emojis. The response from other users who appeared to agree was, “Much better (haha and salute emojis).” One person added that they “can’t stop laughing,” while another said that it was “well edited.” Another user retorted, “Suits better with this song” (using the emojis for a happy face with tears in its eyes and a sweaty face).

Urmila Matondkar, Jugal Hansraj, and Aradhana Srivastav are depicted in the song Lakadi Ki Kaathi in Masoom as they play in the home. The movie’s music and lyrics were written by Gulzar, and it also stars Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi. For his score, the composer received his second Filmfare Award for Best Music Director.
After its release earlier this month, the first song from Pathaan, Besharam Rang, sparked debate because of Deepika’s attire, which some politicians and celebrities found offensive. Additionally, viewers felt that the song Besharam Rang was too similar to the song Ghunghroo from director Siddharth Anand’s previous movie War (2019). Many people were unimpressed with Bosco Martis’ choreographed moves for the second song. Earlier this year, a similar incident took place when fans “re-edited” the Hindi song Kesariya from the film Brahmastra to include other songs that also seemed to fit perfectly on the number starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
The pair last collaborated in 2014’s Happy New Year, directed by Farah Khan. On January 25, 2023, John Abraham and other actors will appear in Pathaan.
