Anupam Kher joins Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War
Actor Anupam Kher has been cast in the upcoming movie The Vaccine War by director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. Anupam is now shooting a movie in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, which will be his 534th movie overall. Nana Patekar will play the lead role in the movie.
Anupam Kher shared a photo of himself with The Vaccine War’s clapboard on his Instagram account to announce the movie. Additionally, some information regarding the currently in production movie was provided. Anupam penned this caption: “Announcing my 534th film!!! #TheVaccineWar directed by @vivekagnihotri . Fascinating and Inspirational! Jai Hind!”

Anupam’s son, actor Sikandar Kher, responded to the message by saying, “Good luck.” “Excited for this movie,” a fan remarked. I hope it’s thoroughly researched and not just a blatantly patriotic tale. Another admirer remarked, “Anupam ji chooses movies nowdays really nicely.”
Recently, Nana Patekar was in Lucknow filming for the same movie. Moreover, Pallavi Joshi, Vivek’s wife, is rumoured to be considering joining the cast after The Kashmir Files won over viewers.
The COVID-19 vaccines were developed by India in response to the outbreak, according to The Vaccine War. On the occasion of Independence Day 2023, it is planned to open in theatres in 11 different languages. It will compete at the box office with Tariq, a rumoured true story-based movie starring John Abraham.
Vivek Agnihotri began filming The Vaccine War and said on Instagram, “GM. Earlier, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri had said the following regarding the movie: “When The Kashmir Files was postponed during COVID lockdown, I started researching on it. Then we started researching with the scientists of ICMR & NIV who made our own vaccine possible. Their story of struggle and sacrifice was overwhelming and while researching we understood how these scientists fought a war waged against India not just by foreign agencies but even our own people. Yet, we won against superpowers by making fastest, cheapest and safest vaccine. I thought this story must be told so that every Indian can feel proud of their country.”
